This collection of ephemera contains notices and information on King's staff, students and events, both academic and non-academic, from around the inception of the College to the present day, and notably includes obituaries of King's staff and alumni in the form of press cuttings, memorial texts and letters, 1903-2000 (Ref: K/OB); press cuttings in bound volumes and loose folders describing the foundation of University College and King's, staff publications and honours, dinners and public engagements, examination results, and the work of individual researchers or departments, particularly in the scientific field, 1925-2001; cuttings by or about King's staff, including Times Higher articles on university restructuring, 1904-1998; circulated cuttings on a very wide range of King's and Higher Education news such as financial affairs, student numbers, university assessments and grants, 1991-2001; cuttings specifically relating to Higher Education including The Times' Good University Guide and league tables published by other newspapers, 1955-2001 (Ref: K/PC); press releases published by King's External or Public Relations Department for the information of the media and public, 1989-2001 (Ref: K/PR).
