Biographical history

The Registry is responsible for the organisation and audit of academic and educational provision throughout the College, most notably in overseeing examinations and academic assessment exercises, and by way of organising ceremonies and graduations. Recently, the Registry has become a sub-section of the Office of the College Secretary and Registrar that has responsibility for servicing the Council, its main standing and special committees, and the Academic Board.

The Registry maintained its own student file series (Ref: KAR/FP) which complements information provided in the slip books.

Organised in an alphabetical run by surname. Female students who married may be filed under either their married or maiden name.

Subject to an eighty-year closure period from date of leaving, but may be consulted by appropriate College staff with permission from the Ceremonies and Events Office.

Copies, subject to the condition of the original, can be supplied to College staff. Requests to publish original material should be submitted to the Director of Archive Services, King's College London.
