Lanka Plantation Company Limited was based at various City of London addresses. The company were tea growers in Ceylon. They were taken over in 1982 by the Caparo Group Limited.
The Caparo Group took over the archives when it took over the company and donated them to Guildhall Library in 1982. The Guildhall Library Manuscripts Section merged with the London Metropolitan Archives in 2009.
