Heinrich von Laufenberg was born, 1391; priest in Freiburg (Breisgau), and later dean of the cathedral; entered the cloister of the Knights of St. John, 1445; died, 1460.

Purchased 1932.

Laufenberg's work on "Versehung des Leibs" followed by an anonymous "Practica" (assigned to Barthomolaeus Salernitanus). Original 15th century volume plus early 20th century transcript by its then owner, Theodor Engelmann.

MS.438 is the original 15th century volume; MS.439 is an early 20th century transcript.

The papers are available subject to the usual conditions of access to Archives and Manuscripts material, after the completion of a Reader's Undertaking.
