Became a Professor in 1977, Inaugural lecture 1978, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering 1983-1986; Pro-Principal 1986-1991 and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering.

Retained in situ by Laugton in Electronic Engineering Department and donated to Archives in 2012.
