This company of Africa merchants had premises at 5 New City Chambers, Bishopsgate. It was associated with River Gambia Trading Company Limited and William Goddard and Company.

These archives were presented to the Manuscripts Section of Guildhall Library through the Business Archives Council in 1961 and catalogued shortly afterwards by a member of Guildhall Library staff. The Guildhall Library Manuscripts Section merged with the London Metropolitan Archives in 2009.

Records of Lintott, Spink and Company, Africa merchants, comprising invoices 1857-1858 and letters to agents 1873-1877 (Ms 10624); in and out letter books, including correspondence between William Goddard and Company and their agents, and letters to the River Gambia Trading Company Limited, 1875-84 (Mss 10625-6); and shop and factory accounts and correspondence of the River Gambia Trading Company Limited 1857-1907 (Ms 10626A).
