Each speech was subsequently checked and edited by Mia Thiel Hansen in the employ of the BBC, 19 Nov 1945. An original certificate of authentication signed by Mia Thiel Hansen is enclosed with each speech. A small collection of English veterinary manuscripts including volume of notes on care of the horse, its anatomy, breeds, training, ailments and diseases, with a number of veterinary recipes. The notes, in a variety of hands, seem to be taken largely from lectures, some apparently given by one Mitchell Dean in April 1833. The volume includes a pen sketch illustrating diseases of the horse's legs. Notebook of veterinary and general household prescriptions and recipesentitled 'Genuine and warranted good prescriptions for horses by "Old Joe" G. Peacock and W. Dixon, vetenaires and co, 1852.' Pocket account book recording the purchase of drugs from Messrs Spencer Dakers and Co., of Low Friar Street, Newcastle, apparently by a veterinarian and notebook containing veterinary prescriptions and recipes, some for named individuals.

The archive consists of letters to Mrs Vernon relating to a biography of Philippa Fawcett, the daughter of Millicent, which she wrote in May 1957 and sent in typescript to Miss Douie, the then Librarian of the Fawcett Society and to Miss Philippa Strachey, Secretary of the Fawcett Society for many years, also to Dame Margaret Cole.

Sheet music book containing 'Sonata by Signor Vento', presumably Mattia Vento, written in manuscript for voice and accompaniment by an unknown writer; also containing a printed page of musical terms, a manuscript poem and a sketch of a country house. Undated [18th century].

Wilfrid Bernard Vaillant's papers, 1926-1939, include his family tree of the physician Thomas Sydenham, showing Vaillant's descent from Thomas Sydenham, 1938; Biographical notes on the Sydenham family, 1926-39.

Records of the Union Society of London, debating society.
