According to the donor, these notes were probably compiled by journalists working on the Evening News, a daily paper published in London between 1881 and 1980.
Donated to Guildhall Library by the Society in 1974 and catalogued in 1974 by a member of Guildhall Library staff. The Guildhall Library Manuscripts Section merged with the London Metropolitan Archives in 2009.
Topographical and historical notes and plans, mostly relating to the City of London; compiled c 1953-1954.
The order in which the researchers kept the material has been retained.
