This company of ship brokers and agents, formerly known as Mackay, Lynch and Company, was part of the Inchcape Group of companies.
These archives were deposited in the Manuscripts Section of Guildhall Library in 1987-8 together with those of other companies in the Inchcape group. They were catalogued in 1988-9. The Guildhall Library Manuscripts Section merged with the London Metropolitan Archives in 2009.
Mackay and Company Limited records comprise: memorandum and articles of association, 1914-23 (Ms 27788); resolution of EGM, 1928 (Ms 27789); accounts, 1923-7 (Ms 27790) and correspondence, 1914-30 (Ms 27791-2).
