Biographical history

Christopher Martin obtained his MB, CM at Edinburgh in 1887, and in 1890 was appointed surgeon to the Birmingham and Midland Women's Hospital. He became FRCS in 1891, and later served in the RAMC in the First World War. Transferred from the Wellcome Museum, 1947, except for MS.6886/13 which was purchased from Winifred A. Myers, June 1992.

Collection of papers chiefly on gynaecology, plus file of documents relating to the surgeon, Christopher Martin (certificates, letters, biographical information), 1887-1930.
