Records of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists' International Executive Board, 2005-2008, comprises agenda, minutes and papers for the Board, 2005-2008 and agenda, minutes and papers of the International Advisory Group from 2006.

The archive consists of minutes, agendas, constitutions, circulars, working papers, publications, reports, correspondence, newsletters, and source material for publications including press cuttings and printed works from other organisations.

The archive was transferred to The Women's Library by two members of the group, both active in the late 1960s to mid 1970s. As a result, survival of records is not uniform and reflects their interests, rather than being representative of MIA as a whole. Some non-MIA material was also present: this has been catalogued as 5MIA/13.

The collection covers most aspects of Williams' life and career after 1939. Papers from her work with the British Colonial Service in Ghana, 1928-1936, were largely lost during transit to her next appointment in Singapore, but the typescript copy of her 1935 report The mortality and morbidity of the children of the Gold Coast is extant. Many papers relating to Williams' work with the British Colonial Service in Singapore, 1936-1941, were lost during the Japanese invasion, but she took a few files into Changi jail, where she wrote up the report An experiment in health work in Trengganu in 1940-1941. Notebooks, correspondence and writings made during her internment, when she was appointed as camp nutritionist by her fellow women prisoners, are also in the collection. Post-war papers cover most aspects of Williams' work, including positions with the World Health Organisation, the American University at Beirut and Tulane School of Public Health, as well as correspondence and collected reprints relating to work carried out in 'retirement' at Wyndham House, Oxford.

Papers of Ann Gwendolen Dally and Peter John Dally, 1953-1991 including patient and other records of their joint private practice, plus Dr Ann Dally's correspondence with General Medical Council and writings relating to drug addiction.

Eileen Palmer birth control papers, 1912-2001. These papers constitute the residue of a much larger collection of papers relating to the birth control movement in Britain and internationally. Eileen Palmer, Olive Johnson, and Edith How-Martyn worked closely together in the Birth Control International Information Centre and Birth Control Worldwide organisations during the 1930s, and Palmer accompanied How-Martyn on one of her several tours of India to promote birth control. The collection therefore includes some How-Martyn papers, including biographical and personal material, some items on the campaign of the 1920s to persuade the Ministry of Health to permit contraceptive advice to be given in maternity clinics, and relating to her international tours, several files of Olive Johnson's correspondence (mainly with How-Martyn, but including other colleagues in the birth control movement), and a few files of Palmer's own papers. There are also some files of BCIIC and BCW papers, and a collection of publications and pamphlets, of which the provenance is not clear. This collection illuminates the international face of the British birth control movement during the 1930s.

Papers of Dr. Letitia Fairfield, reflecting her interests in social hygiene, in mental health, in medico-legal matters and criminology, mother and child health and welfare, and as a Roman Catholic convert, as well as her broader political and feminist convictions. There is also some biographical material.

The collection comprises minutes and supporting paperwork for meetings of the Committee of Management of the Audio-Visual Centre; teaching and training notes including lecture notes and questionnaires; production accounts and financial papers; shooting and activity logs and production notes; video tapes of events at the University of London; a photograph album; audio-visual reels (NOT YET CATALOGUED); annual reports and printed material including workshop handbooks, catalogues, newsletters and a review of the Audio-Visual Centre.

• Personal and family papers including publications belonging to Amelia Scott, inc. her father's will, general papers and family photographs.

• Correspondence - approximately 150 letters to Amelia Scott; including photocopies of some originals from well-known individuals which were auctioned for charity, correspondents include Eleanor Rathbone and Beatrice Webb. Also letters to Amelia's sister Louise.

• Objects consist of a decoration and presentation book concerning her work during the First World War and the assisting of Belgian refugees and a bag with Kentish Pilgrims Way and red, white and green ribbons sewn on.

Records of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists' Standing Maternity and Midwifery Advisory Committee, 1944-1974, comprising correspondence and papers of John Peel as Chair of the Sub-committee to consider the future of the Domiciliary Midwifery Services and Bed Needs, 1968-1969; papers of RCOG Presidents Norman Jeffcoate and Stanley Clayton as chairmen of the Standing Maternity and Midwifery Advisory Committee during their respective terms of office, 1970-1974; also includes RCOG publications on national maternity and obstetric services, 1944-1968.

Album of charts illustrating temperature and pulse of participants in the first trials of 'the sulpha drugs' (red prontosil and sulpanilamide) in puerperal fever (chiefly haemolytic streptococci), with accompanying notes and a brief introduction, 1936-1937. The album was created by Leonard Colebrook while working in the Research Laboratories and wards of the Isolation Block of Queen Charlotte's Maternity Hospital.
