Geschiedenis van het archief

These papers were bound for Meryon in three volumes, and used for his Travels of Lady Hester Stanhope, 3 volumes (London, 1846). He re-examined them in 1861, deleting some passages and copying others into his six-volume (presumably interleaved) copy of the Travels. The papers themselves were crudely disbound at that time or subsequently. They came into the possession of Frank Hamel, and many were quoted in his Lady Hester Lucy Stanhope (London, 1913).
