Plea for food and money from Jews in French internment camp, 1941, comprises a copy of a letter from Dr Michel Lewinsohn and David Kraus in Camp de Vernet- d'Ariège to the Jewish community in Lisbon asking for kosher food for Passover, and money.

Research materials compiled by Caroline Frances Oates for her PhD thesis, 'The Trials of Werewolves in Franche-Comte in the Early Modern Period', including photocopies, microfilms and photographs of original documents, with letter regarding the deposit of the material at Senate House Library, University of London (1986-1993). The thesis was published in 1993.

All the political parties materials currently held here originate from TANU or Chama cha Mapinduzi (CCM), reflecting their political dominance, and cover such issues as the Arusha declaration of 1967 (which laid out Nyerere's vision for Tanzania's development - an African mixture of socialism and village communal life), agricultural policy and foreign affairs (Nyerere was a committed Pan-Africanist who provided support for exiled groups such as the ANC, PAC and FRELIMO). In addition there is pressure group material protesting against the imposition of a one-party state and calling for free elections.

Papers of Alexander Walker, mid 19th century, comprising a lithograph of letters and reports written by Alexander Walker to the East India Company, 1804-1808. However, this lithograph was produced later in the 19th century; the paper at the start is watermarked 1828 and towards the end, is watermarked 1846. Walker was the political resident at Baroda, and the letters and reports related to the land, people, political climate, financial accounts, and translations of agreements drawn up by Walker, on behalf of the East India Company.
