Biografie
The company was established in 1854 as the National Provincial Plate Glass Insurance Company at 37 Ludgate Hill. It was acquired by Royal Exchange Assurance (CLC/B/107-02) in 1909, at which time its address was 66 Ludgate Hill, and changed its name to National Provincial Plate Glass and General Insurance Company in 1912. It became National Provincial Insurance Company in 1921.

The company was established in 1854 as the National Provincial Plate Glass Insurance Company at 37 Ludgate Hill. It became National Provincial Insurance Company in 1921.
These minute books were deposited in the Manuscripts Section of Guildhall Library in 1971 by Guardian Royal Exchange Assurance. The Guildhall Library Manuscripts Section merged with the London Metropolitan Archives in 2009.
