The New India Assurance Company Limited was registered in India, and incorporated in 1919. The Commercial Union acted as its London marine underwriters on an agency basis. The Company was nationalised in 1973.

This volume was deposited by Commercial Union in the Manuscripts Section of Guildhall Library in 1986. The Guildhall Library Manuscripts Section merged with the London Metropolitan Archives in 2009.
