A Congregational church was founded in Nightingale Lane in about September 1662, under the ministry of the 'Rev Mr Slaughter'. It continued on the same site until at least the late 18th century.

A Congregational church was founded in Nightingale Lane in about September 1662, under the ministry of the 'Rev Mr Slaughter'. It continued on the same site until at least the late 18th century.

The records were found amongst the Noble Collection in the Print Room of Guildhall Library. They were catalogued by a member of Guildhall Library staff. The Guildhall Library Manuscripts Section merged with the London Metropolitan Archives in 2009.
