The club was formed to discuss insurance subjects and promote the professional and social intercourse of the London and district staffs of the Liverpool and London and Globe and Central Insurance companies.
These volumes were deposited in Guildhall Library by London and Liverpool and Globe Insurance in 1965, and were catalogued by a member of Guildhall Library staff in 1966. The Guildhall Library Manuscripts Section merged with the London Metropolitan Archives in 2009.
