Biographical history

Wendy Perriam is the author of several novels, often associated with suburban life. Her work includes Sin City, Absinthe for Elevenses and Broken Places. She has also published several collections of short stories and had these, poetry and other works published in magazines. After studying at a convent school Perriam studied at Oxford and Kingston School of Art before becoming a full-time author. She also teaches creative writing.

Archival history

The collection was drawn together by Wendy Perriam over the course of many years prior to its transfer to Kingston University Archives and Special Collections. More material continues to be added as Perriam continues her work.

The collection also contains materials relating to her poetry and short story collections, plus her teaching, public speaking and other work. In addition there is material relating to her personal life.

The collection will continue to be added to as Wendy Perriam continues her work.

The collection has been arranged by Perriam's activities, starting with her novel writing. Papers for the novels are arranged alphabetically by novel title, followed by materials for her short stories, poetry, other writing, other work and personal records.

Items from the collection are able to be viewed by appointment in the Kingston University Archives and Special Collections search room.

Copying from the collection is restricted due to copyirght restrictions and to protect the phydical condition of the records. Please refer any requests for copies to a member of staff.
