The Publications Panel was set up in 1978 to consider the format, typesetting, binding and print runs of College scientific publications (ref: RCOG/B16/1, internal memo 22/1/85). It reported to the Finance and Executive Committee. In February 1985 the Panel was reformed to 'meet only when necessary to discuss printers quotations, publishers proposals, print quantities and handling charges to Fellows and Members' (ref: RCOG/B16/1, agenda Feb 1985). The Panel was chaired by the Honorary Treasurer.

Several early catalogues were not transferred and are no longer extant.

Transferred to the Archives at various times by the committee secretary.

Records of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists' Publications Panel, 1979-1990, comprising agenda, minutes, papers and correspondence of various members of the panel, 1979-1990.

Records are transferred by the Post-Graduate Training department and disposed of according to Disposal Agreement No 2 between the Head of Postgraduate Training and the College Archivist.

This material is no longer created as a separate series; copy minutes are now submitted to and retained with Council minutes and papers at A2.

These records are closed because they contain information about planning and policy.

An alphabetical list of founder Members is available from the College Archivist. This is list has been copied from the first Annual Report 1929-1930 and there is also a copy from the fifth Annual Report 1934. The College Archives holds card indexes of deceased and living MRCOG holders between 1929 and 1998. The indexes note the date of admission to the MRCOG.

Microfilm copy minutes of the Accreditation Committee, 1981-1984, are at MR/1.
