The brewery was established in 1865 on the High Street, Slough, Berkshire. It was incorporated as R Halley Limited in 1947. A controlling interest was taken by Harman's Uxbridge Brewery in 1954. The brewery ceased trading in August 1963, and entered into voluntary liquidation in January 1967.

Deposited as part of an accession of records from Courage Barclay and Simonds, 1969-1988.

Corporate records of R Halley Limited, brewers, including Board and annual general meeting minutes; papers relating to the acquisition by Harmans Uxbridge Brewery; general correspondence; papers of the Board; papers of the Company Secretary; and annual reports with accounts.
