The records were deposited by Sun Alliance in the Manuscripts Section of Guildhall Library in 1979 and catalogued the same year. The Guildhall Library Manuscripts Section merged with the London Metropolitan Archives in 2009.
The Reading and District Mutual Plate Glass Insurance Company records comprise a policy register 1896-1918; and a ledger 1896-1926.
