The records were deposited in Guildhall Library in 1983-4 by Royal Insurance plc. They were catalogued in 1985. The Guildhall Library Manuscripts Section merged with the London Metropolitan Archives in 2009.

The Rock Life Assurance Company records comprise: deed of settlement and related papers 1807-1901; minutes, prospectus and circulars 1806-1937; miscellaneous papers relating to directors, auditors and agents 1812-1909; records relating to the company's emblem c 1807; elevation of the company's offices, 1807; dinner menus 1868-1906 and volume relating to the Society for Equitable Assurances on Lives and Survivorships 1762-1817.
