The church of Saint Anselm was built in 1882. It was established as a chapel of ease to the church of Saint Leonard (P95/LEN). The building was damaged by bombing in the Second World War and the congregation used the church of All Saints, Streatham (P95/ALL4).

The church of Saint Anselm was built in 1882. It was established as a chapel of ease to the church of Saint Leonard (P95/LEN). The building was damaged by bombing in the Second World War and the congregation used the church of All Saints, Streatham (P95/ALL4).
Records P95/ANS/1-32 were deposited in 1956. Records P95/ANS/33-51 were deposited in 1987.
Records of the parish of Saint Anselm, Madeira Road, Streatham, including papers of the Church Building Committee, including minutes, appeals, plans and architect's specifications; registers of baptisms, banns and marriages ; Vestry and Parochial Church Council minutes; correspondence concerning parochial reorganisation; and registers of church services.
