The parish of Saint Luke was created in 1904 from parts of the parishes of Saint Mary's and Saint Paul's. The patronage was held by subscribers who had paid for the construction of the church, before passing to the Church Patronage Society. The church building was constructed in 1905, while a hall was added in 1937. The parish merged with Saint Paul's in 1985, becoming Saint Paul with Saint Luke, and the church was demolished in 2006.

This collection includes parish registers of baptisms, marriages and banns of marriage (1905-2001), registers of church services (1904-1998), Parochial Church Council minutes, other committee minutes, Mens' Society minutes, annual reports, electoral roll, faculties relating to the maintenance of the church, financial accounts, administrative files, parish magazines, plaques commemorating the church opening (1905), and photographs of the new church hall (1937).
