Previously deposited with the records of St Paul's Cathedral at Guildhall Library (MS 25685/1-4). The presence of these items among the Cathedral records is probably to be explained by the internal evidence in Mss 25683-4 that Smith and Tilson, solicitors to the Dean and Chapter, also acted on behalf of the Lime Company between 1799 and 1801. Transferred to London Metropolitan Archives on indefinite loan.
