Saint Stephen's originated in the Kent Street Mission. A permanent church was constructed by 1866. In 1956 it was closed and was later demolished.

Saint Stephen's originated in the Kent Street Mission. A permanent church was constructed by 1866. In 1956 it was closed and was later demolished.

Records deposited in the London County Record Office and the Greater London Record Office, 19 October 1953, 25 August 1955, 18 September 1973, 18 September 1974 and 10 October 1977. Additional records deposited by the Rector, 5 June 1989.

Records of the parish of Saint Stephen, Villa Street, Walworth Common, including registers of baptisms, banns and marriages; church services registers; and papers relating to parish properties.
