These records were deposited in the London County Record Office, County Hall, Westminster Bridge, S.E.1, in 1956 and 1959.
Records of Seager Evans and Company Limited, and subsidiary or merged companies, 1719-1926. This collection contains records of Holland and Co. Ltd. relating to the business, to property, and to mortgage dealings; and records of Seager Evans and Co. Ltd relating to the business, to property, and to mortgage dealings. Also records relating to members of the Seager family in their private capacity and to the estate which William Evans acquired in Chertsey, Surrey.
The records deposited in 1956 were considered as "Estate" records and given the reference E/SGR/1-43. The deposit in 1959 included, as well as further "Estate" material, many records relating to the two firms concerned. A "Business" reference was therefore considered more appropriate, and the new reference, B/SGR/1-349, allotted; thus E/SGR/1-38, 39-41, 42, 43 became B/SGR/9-46, 51-53, 67, 68.
