Archival history

Initially stored at Shaw's Corner (Shaw's home for over 40 years, now owned by the National Trust), the photographs were deposited by the National Trust in 1979, 1981 and 1983.

Photographs from George Bernard Shaw's house at Shaw's Corner, [1895-1950], including photographs of Shaw himself, and pictures taken by him of his household, his friends and family, and of places he visited. In addition there are pictures of Shaw by other photographers, theatrical photographs for plays including Major Barbara, and film stills for Caesar and Cleopatra (1946).
