The business was continued, after William Gouthit's death in 1808, by John Joseph Skilbeck (1773-1863, Citizen and Musician), a former business associate of Gouthit's, in premises at 23 Bread Street Hill. From about 1831 the business was continued by Joseph Skilbeck (1799-1860) and John Skilbeck (1808-1899).
