This synagogue was admitted as an Associate member of the United Synagogue in 1902. It became a District Synagogue in 1948. It was situated in New Cross until it closed in 1985.

Deposited as part of a larger accession of material from the United Synagogue. The minutes (items 1-4) form part of the original deposit, while the other items are part of additional deposits.

Records of the South East London Synagogue, consisting of minutes, including those of the Ladies Guild, and registers of kethubot [marriage contracts], membership register, 1935-40; and book of weekly payments by members.
