Born, 1882; devised a vaccine treatment for tuberculosis during the first decade of the twentieth century; died, 1965.

These volumes were given to the Contemporary Medical Archives Centre in August 1997 by Captain R W Warwick, Marine Superintendant, Cunard Line Ltd. They were discovered among the Medical Department records of the Cunard Line, but appear to have no connection with the Line.

Papers on a development by Henri Spahlinger of a controversial vaccine treatment for tuberculosis, 1909-1929, and press-cuttings relating to public reaction to his claims 1932-1939.

The papers are available subject to the usual conditions of access to Archives and Manuscripts material, after the completion of a Reader's Undertaking.
