The club was a social club for inhabitants of the parish of St Dunstan in the West, the Liberty of the Rolls and the precinct of Whitefriars. The club was revived in 1851 at which time no meetings had been held for many years.

This volume was purchased by Guildhall Library in 1983, and was catalogued by a member of Guildhall Library staff in the same year. The Guildhall Library Manuscripts Section merged with the London Metropolitan Archives in 2009.
