Biographical history
The decision-making work of the College is carried out through a Committee system, with administrative support from the various internal departments. The committees below are or were standing committees of the College established to make policy in relation to particular functions and interests of the College.
Archival history
The College Secretary had administrative responsibility for overseas councils and committees until the Vice President (Overseas Officer) assumed responsibility in the early 1980s.

The majority of the records below were probably transferred to the Archives by the College Secretary's Office.
Records of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists' Standing Committees, 1926-2008. In addition to the official agenda, minutes and papers of the committees, their sub-committees and working parties, this sub-fonds contains correspondence, papers and subject files relating to particular committee work.
In 1999 a Disposal Agreement (DA/5) was made between the Administration Department and the College Archives to destroy unsuccessful applications.
