The The Dave O'Reilly Experiential Learning Archive was formed in 1998 at the instigation of Ed Rosen, who was concerned to collect and preserve a record of the development of experiential learning since its beginnings in the USA in the 1970s.
Deposits of material were made by Ed Rosen in 1998 and 2002. Other gifts were gained through a request for material issued at the 1998 international conference.
The Dave O'Reilly Experiential Learning Archive is a collection of materials relating to the history and development of experiential learning in the international community. Its contents include papers given by Ed Rosen, [1970]-1996, including material relating to the International Conferences on Experiential Learning (ICEL), 1987-1996, including texts of papers, abstracts, programmes and publicity material; papers relating to the organisation of the first ICEL, held in London in 1987, which Rosen was involved in organising, inlcuding minutes of the Steering Group and correspondence with participants; collected books, pamphlets and other printed material related to experiential learning.

A limited number of photocopies may be supplied at the discretion of the Archivist.
