The Union of Synagogues was a predecessor to the United Synagogue, in that it was a union between the main City of London synagogues - the Great, New and Hambro synagogues. The alliance was formed in 1825.

The Union of Synagogues was a predecessor to the United Synagogue, in that it was a union between the main City of London synagogues - the Great, New and Hambro synagogues. The alliance was formed in 1825.

Deposited as part of a larger accession of material from the United Synagogue. The minutes, correspondence and accounts (items 1-26) form part of the original deposit, while the burial returns (items 27-29) are part of an additional deposit.

Records of the Union of Synagogues, consisting of articles of agreement, minutes of the conjoint committee of the Great, New and Hambro Synagogues, minutes of the Conjoint Committee for managing the West Ham Burial Ground, correspondence, accounts and burial returns.
