The working party was instituted by the Council of the RCOG in 1989 to review the education and services related to contraception in view of the continuing high rate of unplanned pregnancy. It reported in September 1991.

Provenance unclear but probably the Deputy College Secretary's Office. This office has provided the secretariat for the majority of working parties.

Minutes, papers and correspondence relating to the RCOG working party on unplanned pregnancy, drafts and comments on the report and the report itself, 1988-1992.

No further accruals are expected.
