A license, 1637, granting Gilbert Wells access to his father's properties.

Special Licence to Gilbert Wells, esquire, son and heir of Thomas Wells, esquire, deceased, a former tenant-in-chief holding by knight service, to enter into all the manors, messuages, lands, tenements etc in England, Wales and the Marches which were his father's.

Access to the items in the collection is unrestricted for the purpose of private study and personal research within the controlled environment and restrictions of the Library's Palaeography Room Uncatalogued material may not be seen. Please contact the University Archivist for details.
