The Worshipful Company of Combmakers was incorporated by charter on 16th July 1635. It is now defunct.

They were deposited in the Manuscripts Section of Guildhall Library in 1949 and were catalogued in the same year by a member of Guildhall Library staff. The Manuscripts Section merged with London Metropolitan Archives in 2008.

Records of the Worshipful Company of Combmakers. The records comprise court minute book, 1744-50 (Ms 5414); charter of incorporation, 1635 (Ms 5415); and ordinances, 1637 (Ms 5416).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING ACCESS: These records are stored at the Guildhall Library site rather than the LMA Clerkenwell site. Researchers wishing to access these records should do so at the Guildhall Library Rare Books table. The Library is open Monday to Saturday, 9:30 to 16:45.
