Loriners are craftsmen who make bits and bridles for horses. A medieval guild existed and issued ordinances in 1260, although they did not receive a charter until 1711. The Company's Hall in Wood Street, known as "La Lorinie", is first mentioned in the 13th century. By the 18th century, it had been let out to a number of tenants and was eventually demolished.

Loriners are craftsmen who make bits and bridles for horses. A medieval guild existed and issued ordinances in 1260, although they did not receive a charter until 1711. The Company's Hall in Wood Street, known as "La Lorinie", is first mentioned in the 13th century. By the 18th century, it had been let out to a number of tenants and was eventually demolished.
The records of the Company have been deposited in the Manuscripts Section of Guildhall Library at various dates since 1956. The Manuscripts Section merged with London Metropolitan Archives in 2008. The records have been catalogued by various members of staff over many years.
Records of the Worshipful Company of Loriners. They include registers of freedom admissions from 1784 and of apprentice bindings from 1883; ordinances; Court minute books; financial accounts and menus and photographs of annual dinners.

These records are available for public inspection, although records containing personal information are subject to access restrictions under the UK Data Protection Act, 1998.
