Lady Yule, the wife of Sir David Yule (d 1928), a wealthy Calcutta jute merchant, commissioned the yacht to be built in 1929 by John Brown of Clydebank. In 1930 Lady Yule and her daughter embarked on a world cruise in the NAHLIN and they stayed in New Zealand, Australia and Miami from 1931 to 1934.

Lady Yule, the wife of Sir David Yule (d 1928), a wealthy Calcutta jute merchant, commissioned the yacht to be built in 1929 by John Brown of Clydebank. In 1930 Lady Yule and her daughter embarked on a world cruise in the NAHLIN and they stayed in New Zealand, Australia and Miami from 1931 to 1934.
The collection was presented by Miss P K Wolf in 1975.
Papers of Annie Henrietta Yule, consisting of newspapers cuttings, photographs, diaries a log and other items relating to the luxury turbine steam yacht NAHLIN. There are also papers relating to King Edward VIII on holiday in the Mediterranean on board the NAHLIN in 1936.
