        Manuscript account, [1750-1800], of all the cow pastures belonging to the town of Medbourne, Leicestershire, giving a list of 49 inhabitants and the number of cows sent to the 'Upper' and 'Nether' pastures respectively. 20 of the names are to be found in the poll book for the 1741 parliamentary election in Leicestershire.

        Copy of 'A letter to the most noble the Marquis of Titchfield [William Henry Cavendish-Scott-Bentinck, later 4th Duke of Portland], President of the Newark Agricultural Society, on the practability [sic] and importance of introducing the merino breed of sheep extensively, upon the forrest farms of Nottinghamshire, by Benjamin Thompson' [the dramatist, [1776] - 1816]. This letter, dated from Redhill Lodge near Northampton on 20 Jun 1808, was read at a meeting of the Society held at Newark, Nottinghamshire, on 5 Jul 1808. It is followed by an extract in the same hand from The Boston Gazzette and Lincoln Shire Advertiser of 21 Jan 1812, about Thompson and his breeding of Merino sheep.

        Inventory of Lady Anne Belasyse's goods and monies taken in her houses in Whitton, Middlesex, Great Queen Street, St. Giles in the Fields, and St James's Square, Westminster, on 13 and 14 September 1694 and on 5 February 1694/5.

        The remainder of the volume is an incomplete inventory, ca. 1612 to 1642, of the goods of an un-named sheep farmer. The location of his property is not disclosed but from internal evidence it is unlikely to be in Middlesex and probably is in north west Berkshire.

Also cutting of pictures from article entitledOur "Far-Flung Battle Line": Breaking up Indian Frontier Raids' showing convoys of troops moving through the Shahur Tangi Valley.
