        The Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain and Ireland holds records relating to the organisation itself, such as board papers, minutes and publications, as well as records significant to the history of anaesthesia. The archival collection was formed when the Association was established in 1932 and holds records in a variety of media: paper, audio, video, film, photographs and photographic negatives and positives.

        You can visit the Heritage Centre at 21 Portland Place, London, Monday - Friday (except bank hoidays), 10:00-16:00, free of charge. The permanent display tells the fascinating story of anaesthesia, while our annually changing temporary exhibitions highlight certain themes.
