Case records on vascular diseases of the heart, [University College Hospital, London], 1919-1921. These case cards of patients first seen for vascular disease of the heart (VDH) between 1919-1921, were brought together by R D Grant for his study of this condition. The results of his research were published in Heart, Vol VI, June 1933, as 'After histories for 10 years of 1000 men suffering from heart disease: study in prognosis'.

Papers of John Newton Tomkins, 1831-[1834], comprising his essay on the mechanism of the circulation and the diseases of the heart and large arteries, illustrated by cases and with references to preparations in St Thomas's Hospital's Museum, [1834] (medical prize essay); surgical case notes of 110 patients admitted to St Thomas's Hospital, 1831-1832.

Papers of Robert Horton, early 19th century, comprising a manuscript volume titled Anatomy Notebook, Horton containing notes on subjects such the central nervous system, bones, joints, ligaments, blood vessels, testicles, brain, ear, eye and heart. The volume is undated but there is a watermark of 1818. In addition, on page 103, Horton mentions the discovery of a membrane in the eye by Dr Jacob. Jacobs Membrane, a layer of the retina containing rods and cones was first described in 1819 by Irish Opthalmic surgeon Arthur Jacobs (1790-1874). Therefore the volume can be dated to after 1819, and was probably written in the early 19th century.

Undated notes and pencil sketches of anatomical and pathological subjects, including bones and muscles; the face; the spine; the eye; and the heart. Some sketches of the spine are in colour, and one sketch uses the pages as flaps to lift and reveal different layers.
