The collection includes minutes of Clapham Labour Party's executive committee and general management committee as well as information on borough and LCC elections. The correspondence referring to Dr MacGregor Reid (President of the Clapham Labour Party in 1926, d 1946), his alleged attack on other Labour and Socialist Parties and ensuing enquiry is especially engaging. However, the records also mention the Battersea Division and contain correspondence of the London Labour Party and national Labour Party. Of particular note are the official Labour Party posters reflecting policy on topics such as farming, coal strikes and the family and its publications about issues such as refugees, Soviet wartime policy and Palestinians in Israel.

The collection consists mostly of official parliamentary incoming and outgoing correspondence when Miller held office as MP for Ilford North. There are also maps, plans, brochures, and newspaper cuttings relating to housing in Stoke Newington from the 1930s, and during the late 1950s when Miller chaired the Housing Committee. The correspondence files are varied. Letters include those from; interest groups, including the International Planned Parenthood Federation, the Socialist Medical Association, the Married Women's Association, the Association of Jewish Women's Organisations in the UK, and National Council of Women of Great Britain; local authorities, including Camden and Redbridge Borough Councils and Waltham Forest Area Health Authority; businesses local to the Ilford North constituency, including Thorn Electrical Industries Limited; Ilford North constituents; and letters from other MPs and Ministers.
The material reflects Millie Miller's keen interest in the promotion of women's rights, her membership on various committees and councils, delivery of speeches to women's associations, and her campaigns against girl slavery in the sex industry, battered wives, and sex discrimination. The material also details Miller's involvement in the World Conference of International Women's Year 1975. The correspondence touches on the Government's relations with Israel and the difficulties facing ethnic minorities, particularly Jewish communities. A large proportion of letters relate to Miller's constituency in Ilford North, Redbridge LB, with particular reference to housing, immigrants, and the views of constituents on local and national issues.

This collection contains agreements, contracts, licenses, specifications and patents, and related correspondence for the Chartered Gas Light and Coke Company, and other Companies which later merged with the Chartered Company, including Great Central Gas Consumers Company, Imperial Gas Light and Coke Company, and London Gas Light Company.
The records chart the early development of London's system of gas supply and the relationship between different Companies operating London. The agreements contain plans of London and mains supplies, and include gas lighting in the newly built Post Office, in the City of London in 1828, and the supply of coal fuel from Newcastle. The licenses, specifications and patents, and related correspondence illustrate the Companies' use of new methods in the manufacture of gas, such as gas purifying, the active involvement of the Chartered Company's engineers in these inventions, such as George Lowe, Alexander Angus Croll, and Frederick John Evans, and the legal difficulties involved. The contracts cover the construction of gas works at Bow Common, Edmonton, Fulham, Hornsey, Kilburn, Saint Pancras, Vauxhall, and Westminster, and disputes which arose between gas Companies and contracted builders and engineers.
The collection also includes compensation claims from a gas explosion in Islington in 1878, a list of proprietors of the Chartered Company and their addresses in 1829, and the impact from the building of London's 'sub-railways' on gas mains.
