The archive is divided into seven sections: administrative records, including a series of individual concert files; financial records; membership records, which include attendance registers and audition files; concert records and programmes; publicity records including posters and newspaper cuttings; files of printed musical scores, arranged by piece, and including programmes for concerts featuring the work; miscellaneous records, which comprise information and programmes relating to other choirs, magazines of the society, or which include articles on the society or choral singing in general, and photographs of choir members, soloists and conductors.
Highlights of the collection include a comprehensive, although not complete, series of concert programmes from 1873-1985, including the programme for the last concert to be held in the Queen's Hall before its destruction during World War II. There are also manuscript copies of "Eryri" by Alun Hoddinott. This piece was composed for the investiture of the Prince of Wales in 1969 and the collection has a copy both of the original score, for 16 soloists, chorus and orchestra, and the revised version for baritone solo, chorus and orchestra.

Bellamy, the Secretary of the Association, it seems that his resignation was accepted in January 1869, but that he did not return the volume (and possibly others) to the Association as requested.

Zonder titelRecords of the Metropolitan Committee for War Savings, comprising a minute book of the Committee, 1917-1918. The book had first been used (reversed) to record details of the war savings situation (local committee, local activities, facilities available, etc.) in 60 districts, one by one, in alphabetical order, in the metropolitan area, some as far afield as Barking and Kingston. The last seven entries, at the end of the alphabet, are covered by the later minutes of the executive committee (pasted in), running across them from the other end of the book.
The meetings recorded in the minutes were held at the Mansion House and the Lord Mayor was normally in the chair. Attendance at the first two meetings was large and included a number of mayors and a sprinkling of senior council officers. Attendance at the executive committee meetings was usually nine or ten. It appears that this is the only main minute book of this body. It does not, however, contain the minutes of its various sub-committees and ancillary committees.

These registers, printed by the London County Council Public Health Department, include the name, address and age of the mother, the date and hour of the child's birth, its sex and whether it was a live or dead birth, with other information about the attendances of the midwife and other doctors or nurses and remarks of a medical nature of the birth. With few exceptions the mothers concerned lived in Peckham until 1952. From 1953 to 1956 the cases were in Balham and Tooting and from 1956 to 1957 in Woolwich.
The volumes are closed under the Data Protection Act. Volume 1 will be open from 2015; volume 2 from 2018 and volume 3 from 2023. Please ask a member of staff for more information.

Zonder titelRecords of the Gresham Club, a City of London dining club. The majority of the records presented to Guildhall Library on the liquidation of the Club in 1991/2 (catalogued as Mss 28834-28864) relate to the Club's time at Abchurch Lane. All Victorian records of the Club, excluding the deed of settlement of 1844 (Ms 28834) and a single notice of annual general meeting of 1845 (Ms 28837), appear not to have survived. The records include constitutional documents, minutes, accounts, records of membership, legal papers, photographs and miscellaneous administrative papers.
The Club's archives also include records of Gresham Club Trustees Ltd (Mss 28861-864), formed in 1915 to administer the lease of the premises at 15-17 Abchurch Lane. It was created to deal with all subsequent property transactions entered into by the Club, and enabled to borrow money, where appropriate, on the strength of the Club's property holdings. For a short history of the Club, written in 1943 for its centenary, see Ms 28856. The background papers used for this history have been catalogued as Ms 28857.
Most of the records are subject to a 30 year closure rule.

The records comprise: minutes and annual reports, 1873-1974 (Ms 14618-24); correspondence and reports, 1876-1974 (Ms 14625-7); agreements 1917-38 (Ms 14628-31, 14811-12); financial records, 1924-74 (Ms 14632-6, 14891-3); and staff records, 1875-1974 (Ms 14637-51). They were catalogued by members of Guildhall Library staff in 1973-4. The whereabouts of any further records is unknown.

They were catalogued by members of Guildhall Library staff between 1986 and 2006.
Some of the records were microfilmed in 1985 and Mss 21658-9 are positive copy microfilms deposited in the Library on indefinite loan by the Society which has retained the master negatives. The originals of Ms 21658 and Ms 21569/1 were deposited on 21 July 2003 (USE OF MICROFILM COMPULSORY), but the Society retains the original manuscript of Ms 21659/2. Permission to take reproductions from the films or to publish extracts from the records should be sought from the Society (enquire at the information desk for contact details).
