Records of Dame Alice Owen's Charity: The records include minutes, accounts, registers and estate papers. The collection includes a number of papers of John Harrison (1693-1776), describing his construction of longitude timekeepers and watches. These papers were catalogued at various dates from 1918 by members of Guildhall Library staff. Records of Peal and Company, bootmakers, 1811-1964. The collection consists of 660 items, 40 of which are administrative records such as account books and ledgers. The remaining 620 volumes are 'Feet Books' recording each order and usually containing an outline drawing of the customer's feet. Every book includes 150 orders and was given a running number. The earliest surviving book is no. 23 from the 1870s and the last is no. 1002 from shortly before the firm closed in 1965.

Records of J Lyons and Company Limited, food manufacturers and caterers, 1891-1995. The archives reflect all aspects of the company's history. There are some of the usual company records relating to management, shareholding and administration, but the collection is particularly strong in what may be termed ephemera. There are hundreds of photographs, from 1887 up to the present day, a few films and videos, and large collections of press cuttings, advertisements, menus and even a set of lithographs which were commissioned by the company after the Second World War as a way of brightening up Lyons Corner Houses.

Records of Bevington and Sons, 1690-2001, including: partnership agreements, 1837-1946, minutes, 1859-1930, and partnership negotiations; financial records 1803-1949; records relating to types of stock, products and technical processes and innovations, 1879-1946; staff attendance books and photograph album, 1860-1877; records relating to property, 1792-1967; records relating to stock and finance, 1862-1946. Also family correspondence 1690-1837, and publications and articles on the history of the firm. The family correspondence offers insights into business practice, family relationships and domestic concerns, often in a single letter. Correspondents include women in the family, as wives and daughters of the company partners. Accounts for female family members are also represented.

The surviving archives of Anglo-Russian Cotton Factories Limited consist of board and general meetings minutes, and papers relating to the act of association and to dividends.

The surviving records of the Printers and Theatres Rating Committee (Southern Committee) are incomplete. They mostly concern the rating of individual risks. As a result, they contain much information about particular theatres, music halls, cinemas, film production studios, publishers, printers and allied trades (including papermakers), and associated processes and products. Some of the records are indexed by name and/or place. The whereabouts of the records of the Northern and Scottish Rating Committees is unknown.
