These reprints were received by the Contemporary Medical Archives Centre (now the Wellcome Library Archives and Manuscripts Department) from the Physiological Laboratroy, Cambridge, in May 1989.

These reprints were collected by Sir Charles Martin, although very little of the reprints were written by him. Many of the files contain manuscript notes by Martin, usually on other articles. Some of the reprints have been annotated.
