An initial accession of material from Sir Peter Medawar's home was given to the Contemporary Medical Archives Centre in March 1988. In May 1992 Medawar's daughter Mrs Caroline Garland presented the laboratory notebooks, to be held on permanent loan. Some additional material (C.155-159), relating to research undertaken in collaboration, was received from Professor Leslie Brent in December 2003. Following Lady Medawar's death in 2005, a few additional items were received from Caroline Garland in February 2006 and February 2007.
