This collection consists of correspondence to and from Lord Farrer, manuscript notes and papers on Indian trade and currency, press cuttings, and printed papers concerning currency problems in India.

The collection also encorporates material relating to world tin production before the establishment of the ITC, including papers on buffer stocks and tin mining in Malaya and Burma during the 1930s.
