Records of Worshipful Company of Plaisterers. The records of the Company were compiled between 1571 and 1953, but they include deeds dating from 1545. They also include a translation of the 1501 charter. Records include a register of freedom admissions, 1763-1874; quarterage books, 1604-34 (incomplete) and 1661-97; Court minute books; financial accounts and records relating to properties.

Records of the Sun Insurance Office Limited relating to staff, including firemen's bonds; questionnaires relating to local fire-fighting forces in the UK; correspondence relating to branch staff and salaries; and papers relating to staff who died in the First World War.

From about 1696 there is evidence that the Fire Offices were employing watermen as firemen. The Sun appointed firemen (i.e. watermen) from the time of its establishment in 1710. In 1711, 30 firemen were maintained. In 1833 the independent bodies of firemen maintained by the Fire Offices were amalgamated into the London Fire Engine Establishment. These records include only a few records relating to firemen (many of whom served an apprenticeship in the Company of Watermen and Lightermen).

Business diary of John Towse, attorney. The volume is inscribed, inside the front cover: "This book is kept for the use of William Hippisley Esqr, of Fishmongers' Hall and contains Memorandums of all business in generall, that fell to my Part to transact, during my continuance with him, begun on Wednesday the 3d January 1759. Jno Towse". The diary contains numerous references to legal business transacted on behalf of the Fishmongers' Company.

Personal account book of Richard Campbell Bazett, partner in Bruce de Ponthieu and Company, merchants and East India agents, listing his income from the partnership.

Account book of Thomas Blossom, coachbuilder, including costs and a detailed list of each stage of his work on repairing and building coaches and carriages of (named) gentry, 1809-14; summary entries of coach work, 1808-9; and Blossom's note of cargoes received at Tahiti and Eimeo (Windward Islands, French Polynesia) from the London Missionary Society, 1821-6.

This is a collection of records of various companies involved in the trading of Ceylon [now Sri Lanka] and Indian teas. It consists of import registers for an un-named company, auction catalogues for private trade teas and photographs of tea plantations, possibly in Ceylon, and the offices and staff of R.M. Holborn and Sons Limited, tea and coffee merchants.

Records of DeClermont and Donner Limited, manufacturers, importers and exporters of and dealers in leather, and their subsidiary companies, 1894-1995. The records include minutes, memoranda and articles of association, accounts, papers relating to shares, and correspondence.

Records of the Amalgamated Engineering Union. The collection has large gaps in the records. However, most of the material contains valuable details on engineers who were members of the union, and on those receiving benefits, for reasons including illness, accidents and deaths.

The collection consists of three main types of record: There is administrative material which includes both the 'formal' records of Reader Brothers (Builders) Limited, such as the Memorandum and Articles of Association, Minutes of meetings, Registers of Members and records relating to shares; as well as various accounts ledgers, cash, petty cash and wages books, diaries and notebooks.

Secondly there are files, planning applications and other legal documents - some with plans attached.

Then there are books and other printed material related to the building trade and lastly there are plans and drawing of housing projects undertaken by the company.
